Everyone loves their pets, but feeding them can get expensive. That’s why many pet owners are looking for ways to save money on food. There are a few different steps you can take to reduce the cost of your pet’s food while still providing him or her with quality nutrition.
1) Look for cheaper foods at the grocery store that have the same ingredients as more expensive brands (read labels).
2) Buy in bulk when possible and freeze any extras if not using within one month.
3) Consider making your own dog or cat food out of rice, beans, vegetables, eggs, and meat scraps from dinner time dishes instead of buying pre-made canned dog/cat food because it is usually much cheaper than store-bought canned food.
